say it isn't true, say it isn't true
The statue had grown accustomed to the silence and solemnness of Sabertooth. Starfall in general seemed to be silent. He spent his Summer winding over the dreams he had, nightmares really. His entire home, family, all parishing in nothing but natural disasters. And then to be woken by such a thing, an earthquake. The grounds had only trembled here, but he knew too well the realm had changed in some ways. Towards the North he could smell ash, and when he ventured to the Southern coast, it was no longer a steep drop off into the ocean. Instead a beach had emerged, bones of whales and other ocean animals washed ashore and jutted from the waters. To the East, Mangroves grew beside the ocean and the Ashen Woodlands.
Starfall was changing, and so was he. Crystals now erect from his spine in Moss Agate, while moss itself seemed to hang over him like a blanket. He was truly becoming something of the Earth. He wondered if anyone else had experienced such changes. His hike back from the Mangroves was nothing but silence, and as he stopped at Sabertooths small pond just inside their borders. His body moved to drink from the waters, and as he did so, the faint glow of something in the sunlight caught his attention from across the pool. His audits swiveled, he hadn’t seen or heard anyone in quite some time. However he was not much of a conversationalist. His seafoam gaze stayed on her, alert of her presence as he lapped at the waters.
