Our daughter's house 75 miles away was blocked on both ends yesterday so that I couldn't leave to return home as I'd normally do on Saturday, even if my road wasn't blocked.
None of us had power, including my younger daughter in Portland, ME. K got hers back early this morning though.
J & B didn't get theirs back until 6pm tonight. We finally got ours at 10:30ish tonight.
The storm turned from heavy snow to thick, icy rain, which is what caused all the downed trees and tree limbs. Heavy snow and ice is tough on trees.
At the same time, it is incredibly beautiful outside after an ice storm. The ice on the still standing trees glisten & twinkle and it seems magical as well as stunningly beautiful!
