Here are the pix from a January ice storm

Sadly, photos just cannot capture the glistening, twinkling ice. It was overcast the day I took the pix. I hope you can imagine them twinkling in the sunlight. It was so treacherous after this past weekend ice storm that I didn't take any pix driving home and the one I took once I got here came out too blurry. It is ICE on the trees, not snow, including the thick pines. Ice builds up to make the limbs so heavy that they break, often taking out power lines or toppling trees, particularly shallow rooted pines. My house coming down the driveway the day after the January ice storm Two of the maple trees in my front yard
My pup in my front yard, parallel to the ice covered driveway, not yet plowed. She is walking on the thick ice pack where she broke through it. To the right side of my front porch. You can see the collapsed young cherry tree the ice destroyed directly to the right of the tall maple tree and the severely bowed birches that will have to be cut down since they will NEVER straighten up again from the weight of the ice and snow.
