I saw an ice storm like that here, once, maybe.

We just don't get ice storms. I guest conducted The Bloomington Symphony once, arriving and leaving during an Indiana ice storm, but it wasn't nearly as pretty. It wasn't pretty at all. Indiana basketball sectional were in progress, and my motel was walking distance across the IU campus from the hall, past a huge fieldhouse with 20 basketball courts hosting one game after another, all day and all night, every day and night I was there. Basketball used to be a God in Indiana. Hoosiers was a true story. Milan, Indiana. I had to drive from Bloomington to India No Place through the ice storm to fly home. At the airport, an agent asked if I wanted an earlier flight. I said sure. Boarded and kinda dozed off. Suddenly awakened to the captain, saying, "We will arrive at La Guardia in fifteen minutes." What? Sure enough they put me on a plane to NYC. I immediately went to the ticket counter to inform them of their mistake... and was on the next flight W to Denver, via Dallas. Your ice storm looks like rime or hoarfrost. Very pretty. Your eastern white pines, Pinus strobus grow to perfection. They should. I have a twisted dwarf version... You have one hellova storm headed your way. Same one that felled Ken's pine and produced my blizzard. image hosting services

You can look away from a painting, but you can't listen away from a symphony
