My take is each of us has a little different understanding of it
Since the relationship is always one to one. If our congregations all agreed, there would be one Christianity. They don't. So there are hundreds of denominations. There are wide ranges of believers in each. My beliefs may be wrong for somebody else, but they work for me. I am reluctant to express them anymore because of rifts it causes from steadfast, unmovable believers who tell me I am wrong. That is not their place or authority. I don't tell them their way is wrong. I say it may not be right for me. If it isn't, that doesn't make me any less or more Christian. Likewise for them. Last time I discussed this with somebody here, while I tried to find common ground, and thought I did, I was informed we have nothing in common, and I am conceited, arrogant, verbose and a few other flattering adjectives. I really dislike being proselytized.
