What happened to Fellowship of Christian Athletes?
FCA used to have a significant role in many schools, and their meetings were open to all students, not just those in sports. Testing can be application and fun. My tests were our concerts. When my district began implementation of written tests to determine music proficiency, I fought back vigorously. That was secondary music. But even in primary, we put on holiday shows which demonstrated applied learning in class. Any subject can be tested by applied demonstration. Kids have fun and don't even know they're tested. Sounds like this program is primary. Religion and Christianity is pretty abstract. What if some Moslems wanted to create and teach a once per week class in Islam? Or Buddhists? Or Jews? How would you feel about that? How would the Christian community feel about that? How would parents feel about that?
