and the insistence on driving into the paint, we may have talked about spacing, but clearly the players had it in their minds to got at him. Brad's comments in the moment would seem to reinforce that.
To me the change came after half time.

Try to get him in foul trouble with aggressive drives, and space him otherwise. We passed up a bunch of threes in the first half and guerrier left his spot a few times which probably affected the balance of those two things.
The plan was generally fine outside of starting the second half with Ty which was really bad. The players just played bad against a superior team. It sucks, but it happens, especially against better teams.

Got 5 good looks from 3 and it didn't matter.
But given his comment at the first break in the first half, it was clear driving at him was the plan.
We literally didn’t do that at all when it was still a game

Love Ty, and I was honestly choked up at his post game interview, but he was unplayable this game, as were DGL and Harmon. We needed to play all shooters, pull Clingan away, and drive and kick. We saw that in the second half, but it was far too late and the game was already out of hand.

was to limit Clingan’s minutes. But honestly I’d rather have just fired up 40 three-pointers and taken our chances.

And makes me feel better about the strategy going in at least. Getting him in foul trouble is probably what had to happen. Alas

He only sits when he gets in foul trouble (or they're blowing teams out). His 22 minutes is directly proportional to the fouls he commits.
When he doesn't commit fouls he plays much more than 22 minutes.
If they didn't call anything on him he was going to play. And we only scored 14 points with him in the game.
