Much of the pocketbook is drained by high taxes (13% income) (7+% sales) (80 cents gas gal tax). $5 gal gas, fees, licenses, penalties, fines, levy’s, late charges, and add-on nickel and dimes for every bill, most of it a mystery as to ‘what for?’ Forget real estate, most priced out. Fortunately, being off the grid has its advantages. And I have no bills except medical insurance and property taxes.
