As, you state Autism was extremely rare until .....79's and after??? With you mentioning the rarity of it....made me suddenly realize there was a case of a girl at least 3-4 years younger than I...of some friends of my parents....and that is most definitely what was wrong with her...as she did not speak, etc.... I only saw her once in my life, as she lived 90 miles from us....

What they really are trying to find out is why it is so common anymore....which, I agree they should be trying to find out....and I know they will with all of the new technology coming out....

I can question the Tylenol too....as I know a couple that have twins that are about 8 years old now....a boy and a girl.....the girl is perfectly normal, but the boy is autistic....... Knowing the complexity of the human physiology......there must be something in a males physiology that makes them more likely to succumb to autism??? But since I am not a scientist at all.....LOL....I will let them continue to work on it... I am not concerned about telling women at this time not to use Tylenol during pregnancy....by doing so, they might prove that Tylenol has nothing to do with autism..... The silly worry about what to you for a fever.....GOOD GRIEF....take an ASPIRIN....LOL...I have taken 81mg of aspirin for over 30 years daily....as an Internal Med doctor in the clinic I worked in was telling his patients it tends to prevent colon cancer...... I know of others that have been taking it also...and we all have survived with no colon cancer, so far....LOL
