It's what politicians do to make the other side look bad, and the masses don't fact check anything. They take for gospel what Fox, CNN and the other alphabet soup tabloid-mentality talking heads tell them.

He also has a lot going on, he doesn't get enough sleep, and he eats poorly, all of which can lead to periodic, temporary mental fatigue.
