He in some ways an enigma.
He is blindly partisan, but claims to have not voted in 30 years.
He claims to be a successful carpet business owner, but knows little about the cause of inflation or other basic economic principles.
He claims to be a devout Catholic, but engages regularly in verbal abuse, and a special hatred for successful women.
He probably doesn’t deserve any respect, but I try to treat him with such out of a steady devotion to civil discourse.
He deserves no pity, but I find myself affording him pity nonetheless.
