I've watched all available video of this shooting, the best ones more than once. As an attorney with considerable experience defending law enforcement officers in shooting cases stated on X, the first shot might have been defensible in court, although it would have been a tough case to win. The second and third shots, taken through the passenger window when there is ZERO argument the officer was in any legitimate danger, are indefensible. The attorney suggested that because of those two shots, the officer's legal team will be desperately looking for the best plea deal they can get. One that at least takes life w/o parole off the table...
Of course, this presumes it will ever come to a trial. Obviously the feds aren't going to indict; various administration folks, including Vice President Guyliner, have been pouring out the factually-dubious rationales for thew killing non-stop. And I very much suspect that the shooter (after hastily leaving the scene of the incident very early in the game) was precipitously bundled out of the state as quickly as they could manage to try and forestall legal action against him at the state level.
Mind you, when his name becomes common knowledge (and that won't be long), he's going to get doxxed hard. Your wish is very likely to come true.
