It’s the Islamists who are killing Iranians by the thousand. Trump is trying to stop that. The difference between mere opinion and informed opinion is that mere opinion is subjective, while informed opinion deals with facts and more than one side of an argument. Subjective opinions are emotional vs evidence based informed opinions.
