The socialists are back and using the Democrat party as a vessel to power.

Over the course of history, human beings have risked everything to escape the tyrannical rule of “leaders” who would suppress freedom for the false promise of security. A wall was built in post WWII Germany to keep freedom-seeking people from escaping the horrors of Soviet-style socialism. Thousands of Cubans died in home-made boats fleeing the despotic Castro regime.

And now the socialists are back. Sanders, AOC, Mayors Mamdani and Wilson, and even some nut job with a Nazi tattoo seeking a Senate seat in Maine are ignoring history and seeking to buy votes by promising free stuff on their way to power. They use absurd rhetoric like “home ownership is racist” and “the rich are evil” to convince the gullible that socialism is some kind of utopian paradise.

The good news is that even today in America, people are escaping states which have adopted job-killing policies and excessive taxation to states which allow you to keep more of what you earn and are friendly to free and voluntary exchange that allows businesses to create vale for customers and employees.

In the meantime, it is sad to watch great cities like New York, Seattle, and Los Angeles deteriorate before our very eyes. Ignorance of history can be painful and unfortunately the pain is greatest for the gullible voters who will gladly forfeit freedom for the false hope of a failed concept that has already been tried with disastrous results over the course of time.

The Democrats have literally destroyed the state and their offering for the next Governor will just make it worse, if that is possible...

Only person suited for making Colorado better again is Barbara Kirkmeyer....she has her ducks all in a row and is very well versed in how to save Colorado!! But, she is up against the Attorney General Weiser and Senator Bennet....2 East Coasters...that have helped Gov. Polis ruin the state....though, in the last few days Polis has turned to using Republican policies at the moment...LOL and did release Tina Peters....

Weiser and Bennet are East Coasters that came to take the state away from the good people of Colorado it seems....

This is just one of the memes floating around....

Marxism is to Economics what the Perpetual Motion Machine is to Physics. Consider the Perpetual Motion Machine as described in many places under the rubric "Free Energy". It offers GREAT opportunities for technology: Cars, Planes, Homes, Factories all running without fuel. What a miracle! No more energy problems! It is a great idea except for ONE FACT. Not one single SUCCESSFUL Perpetual Motion Machine has ever been demonstrated.

Marxism might be attractive except for ONE FACT. Not one single SUCCESSFUL Marxist nation exists or has ever existed. Why in Hell would we want to try a system that has failed 100% of the times it has been tried? Would you go to a doctor who killed 100% of patients?

Marxism has been tried in nations comprising billions of persons and has failed utterly. Why should we try a FAILED economic system?

began a successful bid for power and revenge
against many of those who have offered open
opposition to him and policies he Putin place…

Note:
I am not saying there are aspects of national
Socialism that did not work well, but there is a
certain line of dishonesty in truth that is drawn
with a red marker n is crossed at one’s own…

Looking how those with a stash of hardly
worked to earn cash bought class and
politicians it must be true when they say…

The real question is, how did Angus keep that
up show after tour after year without drugs?

Public Schools and free covid shots are socialism.

Free college educations (but only in subjects that will help people get good paying jobs) are socialism, but it's an investment that will help improve the country.

New York has too much socialism, but they voted for it. That's democracy.

Public education is not socialist per se, but in its current form is a great example of the failure of collectivist ideals. Most people are surprised to learn that “free” public schooling is one of the “Ten Planks” (key tenets) of the Communist Manifesto. In the US it is a battle between parents who want a good education for their kids and the politicians who are constantly begging for more taxpayer money while student achievement continues to deteriorate. Luckily Americans have a choice of better private schools that are more interested in kids than paying and retaining terrible teachers.

Forcing people to get COVID shots or be fired is a great example of tyranny and should be avoided in the future. Medical autonomy is an important characteristic of free societies.

Free college education has done nothing to “improve the country.” It has inflated the cost of a secondary education making it unaffordable for millions of students.

Central planning, the suppression of individual freedom, and other characteristics of socialism have a proven track record of failure throughout history.

We don’t have to guess. History proves that socialism only brings misery.

Does socialism make people more or less free than capitalism?

Capitalism vs Socialism is one issue.

Freedom vs Dictatorships is another issue.

I visualize that as a 2 dimensional scale.

Making services free is not the same as forcing people to use those services.

I never wanted anyone to be force to get a COVID shot, but I support the right of companies to fire whoever they want. Companies should be free to fire employees they don't want.

Much less free.

Socialism destroys economic freedom, relies on government coercion, and ultimately results in tyranny.

Giving a person free stuff when they didn’t earn it implies that you must take it from someone who did.
