Apropos of Colonels

I just discovered the Sharpe's Rifles books having been satiated with Hornblower stories and have realised how the author brings to life events like Trafalgar and waterloo. I know a bit about the latter, Dad took me to see the monument in Belgium (I think thats right, it was over 60 years ago) and I've seen videos or read descriptions about the geography of the battle field and the late in the nick of time arrival of the Prussians (not like them to be late for war) Bernard Cornwell really brings that to life with his graphic descriptions even if it is a bit lengthy to take in via audiobooks. Well back to Waterloo for me, I felt I owed you chaps something to read but now I'm bloody exhausted so its nap time!
