I have to say I have enjoyed the postings of both Mike and yourself re your observations of both political life stateside and personal experience generally.

It struck me as well, the juxtaposition of both Mike and your self.

One a Brit who has spent a vast swathe of his life in the US and the Yank soldier who spent a good swathe of his life in the UK, both having accord and discord in equal measure regard the state of the nation.

This has been extremely revelatory to myself and whilst I cannot add anything other than an outsiders ill informed view of things I thank you both for sharing.

I would add the terms "Brit" and "Yank" I use with fondness and respect and not in the derogatory sense some would have it, but will desist in its use if found offensive.
