What is allied with that, and my bit of a tirade, is the hard-right and the christians pushing onto the school boards.

We have this locally, where one newly elected board member independently reached out to a law-firm established by the christians to engage them as an alternate solicitor to the board. No-one seemed to think she was overstepping her bounds, either.

Anyway, these people work pro bono. Their agenda, though, is in alliance with groups like Moms for Liberty and the christian nationalists. The board is now being populated with these people, discussions abound about what books can be on school grounds in library and classroom, textbook sources, &c; in short they want the schools to teach their agenda and values, the same tactics as employed in any totalitarian state over time.

No longer are these students to be taught how to think (for that is dangerous) but instead they are to be taught what to think.
