Yeah, this entire "no further updates for Windows 10 after October 2025" is irritating to say the least. Okay, I'll admit I'm running Windows 10 on a thirteen year-old laptop, but it's a machine that Microsoft says is incapable of installing/running Windows 11. It seems to run fine otherwise (although it seems to be getting incrementally slower with each recent Windows 10 update).

The big thing for me is I have a very nice MicroSoft Office suite set up on the laptop, purchased et al thirteen years ago. No monthly fees, just a one-time purchase, something MicroSoft doesn't offer anymore. Now one has to "subscribe" and pay a monthly fee.

Today I had to call McAfee to cancel an anti-virus plan that they "auto-renewed" for $212 annual...uh, no. What, are they crazy? Hats off to the Indian gentleman that helped me get that sorted, but it was still thirty minutes.

All of this is really wearing me down. Next, I received a note that Goldman Sachs sold their GM Card credit card business to Barclays, so I'll have to go through the agony of changing all of the places the current card/account is stored.

Pisses me off. Sorry for the rant, lol.
