It will continue to "work", but will likely get progressively slower and slower as security upgrades and the like are discontinued. I'll likely find out, as I've no plan to abandon the machine simply at the whim of Microsoft. I suspect they, however, will do everything possible to make continuing difficult, if not untenable.
