'Woke' terrifies them so much (and to be fair, there are bad examples) that they think Universities are 'hotbeds of anti-semitism and radical left-wing beliefs' and need to be 'cleaned out.'

They've been hearing this from the Rightedia since Limbaugh, you know. It's gospel to them. Most have never been to college.
