Our house here has sold. We are now just waiting on our permits. We close on our sale here on Aug 8. If our permits have not come by then, we will be in limbo, probably having to buy local and give up on trying to get somewhere safe.

And yes, after all the stuff that has been happening, my family doesn't think it is safe to be here anymore.

If we get our permits in the next few days, we have everything in place in Canada. We just have to choose a house and get closed THERE as soon as possible. We can stay in a hotel for a bit if we have to.
