However, trump has NO SHAME! Lies, deception, and obfuscation by constantly topping his previous bad acts and blaming them all on hoaxes allowed him to repeatedly escape the reckoning that everyone else would face.

Learning to adapt to a new political atmosphere is not in their wheelhouse. Partly because too many are too old or too sure of their tactics to change midstream.

Reading a lot by Rick Wilson, co-founder of the Lincoln Project and former Republican dirty trickster has helped me understand better how all the political games really work. If DEMs had listened to him and run with the Lincoln Project's slams on trump they might have prevented him from winning in 2024.

But they didn't listen. They didnt trust him being a former GOP trickster.They thought they knew how to respond. They would walk the high road, showing how low trump would go, expecting the old-fashioned reaction. Instead, trump would brazenly lie, accuse them of ridiculous things and his followers would blindly follow regardless of what they could see with their own eyes if they ever opened them. Getting the libs became a rallying cry that trump rode to victory.

Now, it appears they have finally caught on!
