Their frustrations were particularly evident in New Hampshire, a state represented by two moderate Democrats in the Senate who helped cut a deal with Republicans that funded the government in return for essentially nothing. New Hampshirites who spoke to HuffPost this week said they felt demoralized by their surrender and called for new blood to carry the torch into the future. “It’s like trying to root for a sports team that keeps getting whooped,” Becky Franks, a retired school principal from New Market, lamented on Wednesday. “I’m really pissed at [Sen. Jeanne] Shaheen and [Sen. Maggie] Hassan,” added Rosemary Stewart, a retired social worker in Merrimack, of her two senators. “They did what Democrats always do: they buckle, and they taught Trump that he could get away with it.” The anger is clearly reminiscent of the disillusion Republicans faced during the Tea Party era a decade ago, though it’s too soon to tell what it will mean for the party’s electoral chances. As mad as voters may be with Democrats, they’re even more angry at Trump, a dynamic that helped the party notch big victories in Virginia and New Jersey earlier this month. However, in the short term, the ongoing discontent could lead to another government shutdown early next year. WILL lead to another shutdown. And again, and again, and again.. RESIST!

We also got a small taste of what these cuts can and will do to communities, food pantries, etc. To let it drag out further would only serve to show that Democrats don't care any more about the American people than Republicans do. Not to mention dragging out the release of the Epstein files.... Just maybe, people will begin to pay more attention now.

Dems have apparently learned that this is a vastly different game in politics where one side follows NONE of the old rules and is willing to sacrifice our government (and freedom, by extension), so they are playing a different game now. One that may ultimately work in toppling trump and then MAGA. Doing what they did set the stage for the Epstein files release AND a reckoning of the GOP for what they've passed and are willing to do to unwitting Americans. If they refuse to extend the ACA subsidies TOO, then their evil is carved in stone for MAGAts to see and experience. So, apparently they've learned to use napalm to meet GOP fire. At least with the Epstein files. They have been the ONLY scandal that upsets MAGAts, so now trump and his minions WILL face the wrath of voters. There is virtually NO WAY out of this trap set by those 8 senators. I Just hope that it explodes and wipes out trump, like nothing else he's ever done and always got away with. They still have to follow through and SLAM voters with the truth by using GOPhers who don't dare protect a pedophile or face voters furious about no food and no more subsidies. If they fail, they'll deserve what follows. But WE won't so we have to make a lot of noise forcing it and screaming for Schumer's replacement. Who knew that MAGAts and the GOP were willing to overlook and defend everything else he's done (to them and America) but THIS is the bridge too far?? I sincerely hope that it works! Nothing else has.

As do I. I thought about their move repeatedly and was close to a complete loss of faith in Shaheen Posted by Sia on November 14, 2025, 12:36 pm, in reply to "I know..." ADMIN and Hassan, in spite of knowing them and having seen them in action here in trying to turn the tide back to normal. They've both been excellent senators here in my adopted state and I have an extremely high regard for them, as did most here. So I examined this move closely, read up on multiple viewpoints of it, most of which made ZERO sense based on their usual behavior. That's when the realization that every senator who "caved" was retiring and then it clicked! The GOP needed 8 Dems/Ind to vote with them, and suddenly 8 retiring senators materialized. No more, no less. So combined with the Epstein files release now being demanded by both sides, it came into focus! This was all by design. A calculated risk, given their past attempts to shame or harm trump, but THIS TIME it very well may work!

However, trump has NO SHAME! Lies, deception, and obfuscation by constantly topping his previous bad acts and blaming them all on hoaxes allowed him to repeatedly escape the reckoning that everyone else would face. Learning to adapt to a new political atmosphere is not in their wheelhouse. Partly because too many are too old or too sure of their tactics to change midstream. Reading a lot by Rick Wilson, co-founder of the Lincoln Project and former Republican dirty trickster has helped me understand better how all the political games really work. If DEMs had listened to him and run with the Lincoln Project's slams on trump they might have prevented him from winning in 2024. But they didn't listen. They didnt trust him being a former GOP trickster.They thought they knew how to respond. They would walk the high road, showing how low trump would go, expecting the old-fashioned reaction. Instead, trump would brazenly lie, accuse them of ridiculous things and his followers would blindly follow regardless of what they could see with their own eyes if they ever opened them. Getting the libs became a rallying cry that trump rode to victory. Now, it appears they have finally caught on!

Either way millions will lose health care and assistance for food affordability. The shut down threatened those losses immediately. The cave will prolong them throughout fiscal 2026, reminding voters at midterm time exactly who is responsible for their increased hardships. That gives Democrats an overwhelming edge to regain the House and maybe Senate too. Then, they can address this lawless presidency and corner him to either resign, or be impeached, tried, convicted, and evicted. Three's a charm. The worry about travel plans remains because of the felon's air traffic control interference and policy. That will remind people all the way into next year, and then the BBB goes into effect. " ADMIN Their utter stupidity caused them to push some of it early. The cuts ti SNAP happened because they shut the government. They are supposed to be cut after 2026 elections. Now people know. Now people know what they've done to the subsidies that poorer folks NEED. No one, even MAGAts are happy about trashing the white house east wing. Alone, it won't make them turn on him, but together with so much else all happening together, it did. Add Epstein files and emails and he's toast. He was so stupid that HE pushed for their release, claiming DEMs were in it. Then refused to release them and it comes out that HE is in them. BIG MISTAKE!!

My groceries cost 30% more than they did a year ago. Felon said groceries are down, based on the Walmart 17 item Thanksgiving dinner, that last year cost 25% more because it had 29 items. You know good and well the felon never bought groceries for himself in his life. Prolly never been in a grocery store. He'd think the checkout scanner was a toy.
