When I wrote my dissertation, knowledge was doubling every three years. That accelerated. I have no idea how fast it doubles now. Months? Seems ridiculous the total sum of human knowledge could double in months. A century ago it took half a century for knowledge to double.

How is that measured? Estimate? Wild guess?
Who does it? Why?

Lets say it has and does. Here we are before the 2024 election with more knowledge at our fingertips than ever before in history, and a very slim plurality of nothing but registered voters in America make a world affecting decision to elect a pathologically insane liar to the highest and most powerful position of any country on earth.

That makes that plurality themselves insane. Every effing one of them!

A more destructive choice and decision is hard to imagine. With all that accumulated knowledge of information, voters could not do a little finger research to learn this person was like that his entire effing life? He spend fortunes trying to bury and cover it up, because he KNEW it was not only wrong, but would be resoundingly rejected.

He projected himself as the exact opposite. The biggest lie of all, and that plurality of people didn't have enough reason or forethought to take advantage of access to that information, from which to make a good and INFORMED decision?

He appointed not only sycophant liars to his cabinet, he chose the most destructive of liars to head the department where they could do the most damage with their lies.

I am beginning to understand lies as the polar opposite of information, and as they proliferate, be they generated by people like the felon, conspiracy theorists, or AI, they dilute and retard information. Essentially not only slowing it down, but steering people exactly the wrong way, so misinformation overtakes information and is proliferating at an increasingly destructive pace.
The inevitable conclusion is destruction of countless people.
