They don't get to be the guy outside who maybe coulda helped but didn't because he was afraid. You don't get to take a job requiring bravery and then pee your pants instead, cowering outside while children are slaughtered! You get a different job when you're not made of what it takes to DO the job. If you take it anyway and then don't do it, you deserve to be branded

They took the job and the pay and then turned into mush instead of DOING THEIR JOBS! Scared or not. Do SOMETHING besides hiding and cowering outside.
THEY deserve the branding and public scorn because they took the job and then didn't just fail, they cowered in fear.
It's not that I don't understand their fear. It's that it's not an excuse. It is inexcusable.
