While the damaged nerves have quieted down, the severely atrophied VMO muscle in my left thigh that controls the knee has not responded to months of water PT. The current fragility of my back and need to baby it for the next year means that I can't do "land" PT. (That's using equipment and standard exercises out of the water that protects against gravity forces). So, I cannot squat or bend my knees very much because I cannot get back up without help because the VMO muscle, part of the quad, is all but gone and without it, I can't push up to stand up. I have to manually pull my left leg up to get into a car, which is a real PITA.

Also, it appears that the damage to my spinal vertebrae has now gone up to T12, T11, & T10 because of adjacent disorder common with fusions.. Probably looking at 3 more fusions given how painful the area is now.

So tired of surgery. So tired of weakness and pain.

On a high note, it appears the the DVT blood clot in my calf has dissipated so I can stop taking blood thinners. Yay!
