glad for the expected T-storms and cooling rain, but the forecast now says no rain in sight. Delayed. Might show up Sunday or Monday. UGH!

So I got the pool ready for a crowd and bought more fans so we can use some floor fans outside too to create a breeze where people are sitting, but it probably won't be enough. No AC, except in bedrooms, because it was never needed very often hereabouts and being such a large house with radiant heat, we'd have had to install another entire system just for central AC. Given how infrequently it was typically needed here, it wasnt worth adding $45K+ more to the cost of building the house when separate room air conditioners in the bedrooms could readily do the job effectively for about $1.5K instead!

So, at this point, there's NO way to use single room ACs in rest of the house because of the open concept and inside balconies connecting each area. Only central air could keep it cool and we just didnt need it.

Well, that is before huge shift in climate in N.E. occurred. Now I wish we had done it! Hindsight is 20/20!
