On another note, Scott Colom widened his lead in Mississippi over Hyde Smith to 1813 votes. That should hold to make him Senator elect. Democrats look likely to win 56 seats in the Senate. At least 252 in the House, and maybe 260. Lauren Boebert was defeated and conceded. The public is pissed, and they want change. Schumer in the Senate and Jeffries in the House isn't it. ![]()

Democrats were given a mandate by voters, and infighting by old guard like Schumer might be destructive. But not as destructive as making him leader.
He already said pursuit of the felon corruption wasn't even on the table. 90% over voters made that top priority. To ignore that is really, really stupid. As I wrote elsewhere, they can tackle corruption, the war, inflation and affordability all simultaneously in the same committees, because it's all linked together. End the war and you provide incentive for safe oil shipment to lower oil and gas prices that affect everything else shipped anywhere by any means.
When the public sees their costs dropping, and at the same time those responsible held accountable, the Democrats will earn their trust and stripes.
You can look away from a painting, but you can't listen away from a symphony![]()
