The overall climate in my neck of the woods has changed. Our agricultural zone has changed from 4 to 5. Summer temps hitting 100 degrees was unheard of here. Our summers would hit the low 80s, and that was it. Winters were cold and snowy. We have had incredibly hot weather here this past summer - and for many days too. It has scorched my landscape plants, all originally chosen by me because they were plants that preferred cooler summers (which we once had). The midpoint of any given season is no longer stable. We have had cold days mixed with crazy hot days. We've had some pretty weird winter weather too (thunder storms no less). Our hummingbirds are arriving earlier than ever - my plants going dormant early due to stress. We are definitely going through changes. Regardless of what is causing any of this (natural cycling of the planet, humans polluting and destroying the environment), it simply makes sense to take care of mother Earth and not abuse her. She was once a planet filled with natural beauty which we are slowly destroying - and she is our only home. We have no where else to go. It simply makes sense to take care of our home. And why destroy such beauty? Be the change. . .

The ground is sinking as the sea rises. Warmer climate melts ice that changes ocean currents. Erosion contributes to shoreline losses. It's definitely a more complex issue that deniers oversimplify. I'm certain current administration appointees have no experience in science of any kind. Should we question Ideas and Theories? The kind of sea level rise critics speak about is many, many decades or more into the future. It requires virtually ALL arctic, antarctic and alpine glacial ice to melt. While alpine glaciers worldwide are surging (melting) and in retreat, and ice packs in the Arctic, and Antarctic are diminishing in mass, its a long term trouble with a few exceptions. China, whose drinking water is dependent on Himalayan glacies, is concerned, rightfully so. Likewise for Boulder, Colorado whose drinking water comes from Front Range glacial eemnants. More immediate is effect of climate change on AGRICULTURE That part is already here, and affects everybody. You see it every time you visit a grocery. IF you pay attention. Quality and quantity of produce dimishes every year, and prices rise irrespectful of nonsense like felon tariffs. It is the direct result of supply and demand. Greater population, less food. Everyone in agvriculture knows it's real. The USDA Zone maps adjusted for it. Since 1960 the zones all shifted north by about 200 miles. Ag schools in every state test food hybrids developed to adapt to climate change in greater GDD, and drought resistance because of desertification. Virtually the only people who refute this are politicians intent to politicise it, and dullards who listen to them. It is foolish to resurrect this topic, especially at this time, given the Epstein Birthday Book release. I'm pretty sure I remember Biden stating when you get the shot, COVID stops right there. So everyone needs to get the shot to stop it. Either he lied or was lied to when he made that statement. How many people are getting COVID shots these days? I think it was most effective for those with compromised immune systems. Particularly the elderly. Healthy kids had no need of the vaccine. I think the fact that it was promoted for kids to be vaccinated was criminal, as it was an experimental vaccine. Big pharma did profit nicely from those excesses.

Still, they can transmit the virus to others who are more vulnerable than them. Thus the need for people who are not at risk to be mindful that everyone is not as fortunate as them. My immune system is fine - I am not comprised. I picked up Covid during the Pandemic. I am convinced I am here today because I was selected for monoclonal antibody therapy. Within one day, the fever disappeared and I was well on my way to recovery. From that point on I ran to get the vaccine as soon as I was able. I have lived with family members that have picked up Covid - I have never come down with it since. The vaccine protected me. Vaccines work. They worked against polio, they worked against measles, they work against so many illnesses. As vaccination rates decline, illness rises. Kids are little germ factories and spread germs around. If kids don't get vaccinated, their chances of becoming ill rises. And then they become carriers and they spread the illness. This isn't hard to understand. Vaccines can't work if you don't get them. And they won't work well if you think they provide perfect protection and throw all caution to the wind. MRNA vaccines have been around a long time. Check it out. As far as big pharma - of course they profited big time. That doesn't mean the vaccine has no value. One does not necessarily follow the other. Big pharma continues to profit nicely from other drugs as well - other drugs that work. We don't throw those drugs away because big pharma are a bunch of greedy bastards. Be the change. . .

Eventually it will be on par with the flu, less deadly but just as easily spread. At first, doctors thought it could prevent infection. Time showed that it can't because it morphs so readily like the flu and the common cold. However, it still CAN prevent individuals from catching variations in the vaccine formula and especially from spreading the disease by attacking the replication process (which is what keeps you from developing severe disease along with Paxlovid use for the elderly and immunocompromized) so it CAN prevent getting the variations it is "jiggered for" while only reducing the severity of any of new variations not already included in the jiggered formulas. They can't add protection for variations that haven't yet occurred, but you won't get the varieties included in each new formula of vaccine..

I think tides and sea levels fall into much the same category as the weather and weather forecasts. There is much we know, but Earth is a big place with lots of variables, and our true grasp of geological time is also quite limited. Even though we know a hell of a lot about the weather, and forecasting is pretty good, forecasting the weather is still filled with a lot of speculation. The planet's weather still is a humongous, chaotic system controlled by an infinite number of variables. That alone makes it hard to nail things down. Meteorology and climatology are birds of a feather. Meteorology's short-term atmospheric conditions juxtaposed with climatology's rather long-term climate trends do not lend themselves to ironclad accurate predictions.

Surely a man of your many years is familiar with the phrase, "follow the money". Anywhere and everywhere there is money to be had, there are those jockeying, by whatever means necessary, to secure a heaping helping of it. That includes areas in the fields of science, medicine, pharma, politics, NGOs, and even evangelists. If you don't think that type of thing is happening and with great regularity, you must not have a good grasp on the human condition. It is quite prevalent in the venues I just mentioned. If you think otherwise, you're probably not as well-informed as I thought you were.
