Surely a man of your many years is familiar with the phrase, "follow the money". Anywhere and everywhere there is money to be had, there are those jockeying, by whatever means necessary, to secure a heaping helping of it. That includes areas in the fields of science, medicine, pharma, politics, NGOs, and even evangelists. If you don't think that type of thing is happening and with great regularity, you must not have a good grasp on the human condition. It is quite prevalent in the venues I just mentioned. If you think otherwise, you're probably not as well-informed as I thought you were.
