Another update on my Mumzy - Tuesday ( not as positive)

She is struggling with a complete inability to use, move, or control her left side at all. Every attenpt triggers indescribable pain. It is not going well. She is crying inconsolably and repeatedly says she wants docs & PT to just "leave her alone" to stop the nerve pain even if that means losing control of her entire left side.
It is related to aggressively triggered nerve complications during the 2 surgeries (3rd &10th) and can't be fixed surgically, only with time and letting them rest. It is not unlike a swarm of angry bees striking out and dive bombing when poked. It just takes time for angry nerves to figure out that the knives are away and they can settled down and stop stinging. They are only being asked to do their usual boring jobs letting her body move. They dont understand English and feel attacked every time she moves, which she MUST DO to regain control over her body.
This has triggered my POA (power of attorney) financially and for health care. Both now in use because she has lost rationality from how sick she currently is, so I've authorized extraordinary means to get her through this highly negative state. My sister, Kristin, Brandon, my Dad, and her siblings want me to push hard without compromise because she would normally never give up... EVER... in spite of odds stacked against her. She would fight for her life and so will I.
Unfortunately, that means that she now has 4 newly broken, displaced ribs from aggressive CPR, 3 older fractures from previous CPR and a boatload of other pain from 2 major spine surgeries in less than a week's time. Mumzy is extremely tiny but it is shocking how hard she can fight when necessary.
Docs are cutrently setting up for multiple blood transfusions to increase strength she no longer has. Blood loss has a way of wiping out resilience that happen. So do two spinal cord dura tears still leaking CSF fluid from her spine.
Hoping the blood transfusions will restore her strength and fighting spirit so she can come back to us to fight for herself.
This isnt a great pix of any of them with the weird facial expressions but it shows the love FOR and OF their Grammy who comes to every single school and activity they are involved in. They adore each other! They would not easily adjust to losing her so we won't let that happen.
I cannot even fathom the strength it takes to go through this. Having a supportive family is a huge source of healing. She is fortunate to have you.
My son had to take over my POA for three months, so I know from listening to him the weight that lies on your shoulders. But you have a good head and a positive outlook.
In praying for her, I also pray for you. You have a lot on your plate. Please show yourself grace.
She doesn't need more of this! I know it is incredibly and unfairly frustrating not to find and solve the problems for this. It sounds like the pain is splitting or tearing her in half. Nothing in my experience allows me to imagine how bad it must be. I hurt for her!
I am glad she has expert medical attention, and you and other family there to support her. That is a Godsend.
Thank you for being her voice. Please give her my love and best and let her know I pray for her.
You can look away from a painting, but you can't listen away from a symphony
SHE MOVED HER LEFT LEG ON HER OWN OVERNIGHT!!!!

Prayer answered? I'd like to think so. Every day her pain diminishes and mobility increases until she is free! You can look away from a painting, but you can't listen away from a symphony
but you just answered one of them. I was assuming that she had pain and feeling on that left side, which means she is not paralyzed. But I also assume that you have to keep her in restraints to keep her from moving or jerking too much, else a sudden violent movement could cause more damage to those torn areas? Likewise the PT people have to be very careful as well. I am also assuming that they can at least give her some amount of pain relief to let her rest when she needs to? Are they able to do regular imaging or something to make sure those tears aren't getting worse?
It sounds so awful to go through such pain. My heart is aching and crying for some relief for her and soon. It just doesn’t seem fair. No one deserves that kind of pain, but especially not her. So hoping that the pain will subside soon. Thanks for the update and for the pic. Precious. Please give her my love. I only wish I could shoulder some of the pain for her.
Most appreciated!, she's getting angry now instead of accepting defeat

She is a fierce fighter when she needs to be, and she has every reason and resource to fight and win this battle, thanks to you and her loving family, including her extended family here.
I can only hope and pray she comes through this terribly difficult time and is able to have some kind of healing from this. She's had to put up with so much pain, I can't imagine it! All the operations I've ever had aren't equivalent to this. I realize how lucky I've been.
Thanks for th adorable pic; I know she loves the girls and they love her.
Best.. RESIST!
She has refound strength inside and shoved thoughts of failure out the windowe

She can't currently stand but I see the image of her standing over what could be the devil himself without the slightest fear of failure.
Her heart and family are her strength itself and nobody abmnd nothing are going to stop her.
You have all helped with your belief in her. Don1t stop+!1¹
