Plan to be at one near you. If you can't be there, do something significant. Write an actual letter and snailmail it to your Congressman or Senator, or if that is a Republican, to his or her opponent. Your time and good thinking are more important than just giving money. This is gearing up to be the biggest protest in US history and will fuel momentum into summer and the midterm election in November. More protests will occur between this one and the election. They're all important. You can look away from a painting, but you can't listen away from a symphony

Please add your suggestions! To Whom It May Concern: We the people want accountability in government… NOT corruption and lawlessness. NOT tyranny, theft and grifting. NOT lies, cruelty, propaganda and profiting on hatred and division. We want common sense laws, and common sense actions to hold our so-called “leaders” accountable under the law... the same laws they expect the 'governed' to be under. Stop the games and do your job. We want a balanced budget, a fair tax system, and sane foreign relations and policies as well as domestic relations. We want criminals to be held accountable, whether rich or poor, and we want all people to be treated with fairness, dignity and respect, no matter the color of their skin, country of origin, or religious beliefs or lack thereof. We are a multi-cultural and diverse country in a diverse world, and we CANNOT continue on a path of insane and lawless provocation toward our neighbors and trading partners. We the people believe that our “leaders” should be held to a higher standard, NOT lower, than those they purport to lead, govern and protect. So please… clean up the corruption, the campaign financing laws (revoke the Citizens United decision) and do what you are paid to do without begging for more money to do nothing but allow the corruption to continue and worsen day by day. We the people will NOT give up our voice or our democracy. We will NOT acquiesce to the politics of divide and conquer. We WILL unite to save this country that we love and stop the out-of-control greed, lawlessness, corruption and tyranny at the highest levels. It is time for US to stop the waste, fraud and abuse.

The only thing I would change is to add 2 words to your Posted by Sia on February 20, 2026, 10:11 am, in reply to "Addendum" ADMIN final sentence: "government corruption" because when I read it, it was the same sentence that trumpsters said during the campaign and to justify DOGE. Waste, fraud, and abuse. It will allow "leaners" to go back to the concept of "liberals wasting money" instead of focusing on this regime's GOVERNMENT CORRUPTION.

The wrist is still stiff and sore... will start physical therapy on Monday, one to three times a week for a few weeks. I lost one of the tendons in my thumb (he said it was ruptured) and I can't get that back. I can still close and grab with the thumb, but can no longer open it up wide to grab something thicker like I can with other thumb. He said I could just live with it that way, or at some point I could have surgery to transplant one of my 'extra' tendons from the forefinger to the thumb, if I want to.

If you receive a form letter, spend a little money and send another certified. Tell them you have many friends with whom you discuss these matters, and you all agree. Word of mouth is the most effective advertisement strategy. You kept your text short and to the point. Excellent! Consider hand writing it. When you appear to take that kind of time, believe you me they notice and take it seriously. Emails and mass generated letters... nope. Demographically your hand written letter is taken to represent the view of 5000 other constituents who don't write. You can look away from a painting, but you can't listen away from a symphony

I will be checking for things being organized in my community. The last one here had a large march organized but also smaller setups along the route and in local neighborhoods as well. Surprisingly a strongly worded letter sent via snail mail actually has an impact. Especially if you can link it to real world experiences and how it effects you. Usually you get a thank you form letter from everyone but occasionally you may get a more specific response of inquiry.
