Right or wrong, no matter the whos, whys and wherefores, and no matter our personal opinions, the majority of the vast number of American men and women who were called to serve during the Viet Nam War showed up to serve. No matter their personal feelings, they served, they did not turn their backs. That is my point, not whether it was right or wrong and no matter their race, their socio-economic status, nor their political beliefs, they still served. I, too, lost both family and close friends.
