I think if I wore a glove and held my arm up holding chicken meat, the hawk that I got a picture of would probably land. I think some are from the Raptor Recovery which is about 10 miles west of me and the husband/wife team that ran it would release the hawks back into the wild after healing them. This hawk is not afraid of humans at all and often glides in circles very close above me. I think he/she would know it was me - owl suit or not. You are correct - it has my number. I just learned that last year the recovery closed as the husband passed and the wife did not want to continue. I suspect this may have lead to the huge population we now have here - as most would have been returned to the wild. The hawk I nailed with the hose had red stripes on the bottom of its wing span...it does not like me at all. Which is fine.
