It is a pity in a way as when I first encountered the Garry board I assumed they were just like minded people with an interest not much different to train spotting. In this respect, since the pirate era seemed very important to them and as Radio Caroline is the only remaining organisation that links back to that era and has the sole remaining pirate ship, I foolishly assumed that they would be pleased to hear from me and hear the information I could provide.

But I had stirred a hornets nest ( albeit a very small nest ) of Dementoraks who then turned on me.

To a major extent I am not concerned as nothing they say or think, makes the slightest difference in the real world.

As is stated here, Garry is not a pirate radio legend, no bugger has ever heard of him. And he destroys any cred that he may have had by posting under various names agreeing with himself but giving himself away by using the same errors of spelling and grammar each time.

As for David LW, yes he is the man who suggested that I ditch one of the most famous station names in history and call the station after the ship. He also offered a revolutionary aerial so efficient that I would have no need of the perfect masts and earth system at Orford.

The compact nature of this aerial was such that he could conceal it up his bum if need be, which at least might have stopped him talking nonsense for a while.

He continues to post nonsense as Loose Change or Loose Stools but I must not let it bother me for as my old Mum told me ' it is wicked to mock the afflicted '.

Dear Mike Simmonds means no harm but I remember him telling me that DRM was the way to go, not fazed at all by that fact that there were no radio sets available nor stations so broadcasting.

For a while there he imagined that one could get on DAB for £100 until someone told him that this only bought the licence and did not buy the carriage.

Anyway, they are happy and at least are all in one place and not accosting people in the street.
