I (think) I've learnt interesting stuff/read amusing bits from a few specific, named, posters on the other side.
I recall an incident after I interviewed PM for community radio. Apparently he revealed some new information during what a fascinating chat. Afterwards on one of these forums, people claimed it was old news. Mildly tiresome I imagine. This is perhaps an anorak thing - I've heard the same about bus fans - they love to find things out/claim things as fact to appear knowledgable. It can sometime cause problems.
I cannot understand what these people hope to achieve. They must be aware by now that nothing posted on that forum will make a blind bit of difference to the path Caroline chooses to take.
There seems to be little point in them repeating ad nauseum their ridiculous claims of some kind of cult just because some support your endeavours or that they don't like the format, referred to by one as 'spaced out grunge'. Obviously someone who hasn't looked at the playlist lately.
Similarly Hagger, who has requested expressions of interest in his supposedly forthcoming 'compendium' on his forum. There are no responses and it has been read by a mere 50 individuals. He has been 'at it' for decades and what effect has any of his rantings had? Nothing whatsoever. Apparently, all those who have not read his 'many monographs to academic standards' are all fools and idiots.
Yet they persist. Futility at it's finest.
Such a contrast to what I see from social media posts and press reports where a band of enthusiastic volunteers are actually doing something constructive - and having fun. Whatever next?
