I think we all know, Ronan (Peter's El Supremo) was never an angel, you would be under a delusion if you thought otherwise - Peter who worked with him for many years, has told us as much. The real question, is was the good Ronan created over many years, outweighed by his bad ways?
Perhaps this book will answer that question.
To keep Caroline going in the 1970s, must have involved much sailing close the the legal wind - cash being carted about, would be no surprise to me. 
I believe if Ronan was looking down on Caroline, from Hell or heaven He would be smiling at Caroline's recent achievements, & would, if he could - help OFCOM to grant 10kw of environmentally friendly RF power
