Likewise Mike, in my part of North Yorkshire I have received Veronica, Radio 538, Tien Gold and others during lift conditions. I remember one period around 20 years ago when Veronica was there constantly for several days.

My thinking was more was RNI with relatively low power and a not too efficient aerial could be detected with any regularity on the coast.
