Think it is touched upon in the Bob Noakes book. It was built by professional riggers.
Unlike the other mast built at sea in early summer 1973 which was built by Norman, Robin, Dick and co. It came down in October 1st nearly 50 years ago. Previous Message
I would think, building on board the Mi Amigo: At sea - not in a harbour, the Transmitting mast in 1973 - that lasted long after the ship sank in 1980.
That must have been a hard & brave job.
Does anyone know WHO did it? This part of the Caroline story, has never been described in any detail.....
