I was member of the (UK) Beatles Fan Club from 1963 until the end.
There were seven Christmas records, 1963 until 1969. All were on floppy flexi-discs (or flimsies) manufactured by Lyntone Recordings, also known as Lyn.
Lyntone pressings also appeared as cover-mounts on magazines, such as the music press to promote a new artist, or more famously on Private Eye from 1964 to 1989, featuring satire and comedy. One in 1969 was called “Dear Sir, is this a record” and one in 1966 was “The BBC Gnome Service”. The likes of Readers Digest used to mail out Lyntone discs as samplers to promote the album sets they sold.
In 1970 all seven Beatles Christmas records, 1963 to 1969, were compiled onto to a proper 12” LP vinyl album, “From then to you”, as a sort of farewell thank-you to loyal fan club members.
All of them are still here at SIBC.
These were released to club members of the Beatles in the 1960s = on VERY floppy 45s Pretty rare now!
Below are links to some of them - Enjoy them with Foster (On the Roster)
