Johnnie Walker on X(Twitter): "One of the most hard working, entertaining and talented jocks. Arrived at 9am for a 2pm show. He put his heart and soul into The Big Show." He was dedicated to radio and to my knowledge didn't get involved in anything outside his broadcasting. There was one particular feature I sometimes used to listen to years ago of older tracks that was well put together.

There was a post of his passing away on the Landbased Pirate Radio of the 70s and 80s group today. Said he listened to RNI and Radio Concord as well as contributing to the SIRA magazine, had a passion for jingles.
