A one hour tape of SIRA jingles is offered to landbased pirate stations if they send a C60 cassette or at least 500 foot of tape.
Contributors to the Spring 72/73 magazine, no idea why it's labelled like that, include Steve Wright Jingles.
Tracks 18 and 19 on the 2004 Commemorative CD linked to are more SIRA jingles/promotions. Poster on the Facebook group mentioned says like Track 15 they are by Steve. Closing one on track 19 I found particularly interesting, sung to the tune of Memphis Tennessee.
Summer 1972 Magazine, Summer Mail column:
Dear Mick and Jo, Thanks for the magazine, very interesting reading too. John Peel
Sorry, I am not a member of the Facebook group so didn't know I was duplicating. So I suppose this is his earliest surviving broadcast.
In an interview (somewhere on the web but can't find it) he said that while still at school he sold offshore radio recordings through adverts, under the guise of a grand sounding organisation - the only word of which I can remember is 'International'.
Same recording linked to on the Facebook group by the poster I mentioned some time ago "Steve Wright, Radio Concord jingle"
I don't know, but I have corrected your link so at least we can now hear the recording.
The Radio Concord item, numbered 15 here, is credited to Steve Wright. Is that him?

Johnnie Walker on X(Twitter): "One of the most hard working, entertaining and talented jocks. Arrived at 9am for a 2pm show. He put his heart and soul into The Big Show." He was dedicated to radio and to my knowledge didn't get involved in anything outside his broadcasting. There was one particular feature I sometimes used to listen to years ago of older tracks that was well put together.
There was a post of his passing away on the Landbased Pirate Radio of the 70s and 80s group today. Said he listened to RNI and Radio Concord as well as contributing to the SIRA magazine, had a passion for jingles.
