I passed a "footballing" pub on Sunday evening, the language there largely consisted of the F word. Are we just old fashioned?

Around three quarters of music in the charts now has explicit language in it so this is a problem that will get bigger very quickly. I don't really get why musicians feel that it's OK to use the 'F' word and similar in pretty much everything they record now. Comedians started doing it first and now it's popular music as well.
