Ofcom's current Broadcast code is based on MORI research on public attitudes in 2021. Their last one was in 2016.
The quick reference guide shows which words in various categories are considered mildly, moderately or strongly offensive according to their research.

Something Ive noticed is that some stations have become MORE prudish with even the mildest swearing or drug references (pointlessly) censored.
The Kisstory DAB station is particularly laughable for blotting out words which stations back in the 1990's happily broadcast even during daytime without raising an eyebrow.
Have all the old school ravers grown up to become Daily Mail readers please say its not so ?
