I was re listening to Bob Lawrence’s excellent discussion with Robb during The Spirit of the 70’s and once again noted Robb reluctantly saying the Ronan O’Rahilly was paid to keep the station off air during that winter of 78/79.

I think Bob, who was one of those looking after the Mi Amigo in dreadful conditions during that time, was taken aback by that revelation.In fact Bob said that he doesn’t believe O’Rahilly was really interested in the radio station at this point.

That whole interview was fascinating.
