And I see the Solar panels were covering power and more today Previous Message
The 2pm until 5pm show that Steve Anthony usually presents but had one of the Caroline Coastal stand ins. I think they need a little guidance as the shows music was very pop oldies which I was not really looking for at the time. Have plenty of other stations playing that stuff.
Would be very surprised to have had them included in a Top 15 show Previous Message
Just seen that followed by Hotel California by the Eagles, there are plenty other Eagles tracks that could be played daytime rather than their most well known track.
I've been a big fan of the Byrds and the Kinks since they started but their most well known tracks have been played the last couple of days, virtually all of their album tracks would be a better choice.
I tuned in, think mid or late morning, a few weeks ago and the presenter was responding to a listener who'd contacted him saying he was playing too many singles and not enough album tracks.

Agree with Ian, Tony Christie and Kylie Minogue are not album artists. Previous Message

If Tony Christie or Kylie Minogue were played then it only highlights a lack of understanding on the part of some presenters of what Caroline was about for most of its existence. Quality album music.
I tend to stick to the presenters that I know have that understanding.
From the 60’s The Who but not Frank Ifield, from the 70’s The Eagles but not Tony Christie, from the 80’s Roxy Music but not Kylie Minogue etc etc
The “music policy moaners” should not be appeased, they should retune. Previous Message
Has there been a change in music policy???
Yesterday, I was stopped in my tracks as Kylie Minogue burst out of my speakers and today it was Tony Christie. Even my wife said that "they've got a better choice of music, today".
Not sure what I think but an occasional dip into a bit of pop may appease the music policy moaners without upsetting us old farts too much. But, just occasional only.
And now (25/4 11:16) it's Abba.
