People use Firefox because it is basically the only PC alternative to Chromium based browsers like Chrome,Edge,Opera and Brave. Firefox uses it's own engine whereas the others are pretty much just wrappers for the same contents. I use Firefox in Linux Mint (and sometimes, Brave) and as with all Linux updates, they are not intrusive.
Updates in Windows tend to take much longer and can be annoying if you just want to use your PC and get on. I use Edge when I use Windows 11 as it just seems to work.
