Some Windows 10 computers could upgrade to Windows 11. Mine kept crashing, local computer repair firm came and installed a replacement and better hard drive. He told me I was just below what was needed to upgrade. Thought Microsoft might fix this at some point.
Businesses could pay for an up to 3 year extension, schools, charities, colleges and universities also at a much reduced rate than them,

20% of computers across the world, are still running on windows 7 - I thought you disliked updates, if so these are never updated so you should like them.
If you use a good virus catcher & follow the basic essentials, like not clicking on email links, recognising phishing etc - problems are very rare.
Ignoring dodgy phone calls claiming to be from Microsoft - they are not, is yet another protection.
Using the net & emails on Mobile phones, is probably far more risky, as they are easily stolen - grabbed from people holding them in front, or stolen from their back pockets. That's how most people use them in these parts.
Hackers will probably concentrate on the 80% of PCs that are running on Win 10 & 11
