Know of him, and I think his story is exactly the kind of knowledge our kids need during Black History Month.
Sometimes I think there's too much emphasis on the Civil Rights struggle vs what guys like Frederick Jones were able to accomplish under very very dangerous times for AAs.
And yes, many Black folks succeeded during the worst of times like Jim Crow etc.
And then came "integration"!
