While slavery legally ended in the U.S. with the ratification of the 13th Amendment in 1865, its practical end in Indian Territory was delayed until "1866", as the Emancipation Proclamation of 1863 did not apply to these areas.

And guess what year African slavery ended in Saudi Arabia? Until 1962. Again I'm not saying Arabs deserve some kind of genocide. LOL!!
